Team Spirit rifler Ivan "zweih" Gogin gave an interview following his side's 2–0 quarterfinal victory over Team Falcons at the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 in CS2, saying that the match finally allowed him to show what he is capable of on the big stage.
"Hally and chopper said important words before the match. After that I stopped feeling the pressure I had for the last six months. I think I showed how I can really play," Gogin said, reflecting on the pregame talk that helped him relax. He admitted the team made a poor start on Dust2 after conceding a foolish eco round, but added that they quickly found their rhythm and began to collect rounds. He also commented on the game's balance, calling the M4A4 an imbalanced weapon that he believes should be nerfed.
Team Spirit closed out the series 2–0 against Team Falcons and will meet the winner of the tie between The Mongolz and Team Vitality in the semifinals. The upcoming matchup sets the stage for another important test as Spirit aim to build on the momentum from their quarterfinal performance.
The StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 runs in Hungary from November 24 to December 14, with participating teams contesting a $1.25 million prize pool. Coverage of the event includes full schedules and results for those following the tournament closely.
Gogin's comments suggested both personal relief and renewed confidence going into the later stages of the event; his strong showing in the quarterfinals could be an important factor for Team Spirit as they try to advance deeper into the Major.
