Bogdan Vasilenko, better known by his handle Iceberg, recently reflected on his professional Dota 2 career and assessed what he believes he could have achieved. In a candid conversation, he said he sometimes wishes he could go back to the Winstrike Team period and push further on issues he prefers not to describe in detail.
Iceberg admitted that he feels he underperformed during that era and that some matters remained unfinished. He explained that he does not want to endlessly rehash past errors — they are distant enough that overanalyzing them would be pointless — but nonetheless believes he could have worked harder to reach higher goals.
Concretely, Vasilenko judged his personal ceiling at The International as a top-9 finish. "My ceiling is being top-9 at TI," he said, arguing that given his approach to the game that was the realistic outcome he earned. He conceded that with a different effort he might have achieved more, and that while he has had successes, his remarks were made in the context of talking about the championship race.
Over the course of his esports career, Iceberg has participated in one The International tournament. He reached the 9–12 placement at The International 2018 while competing with Winstrike Team.
Earlier, Vasilenko also expressed an opinion about matchmaking ranks: he stated that most high-ranked players would like the developer to reset MMR. He has discussed this viewpoint publicly in previous comments.
