Legion Commander duel bug in Dota 2
After patch 7.41, Legion Commander can interrupt duels and cast a long-range Aghanim’s ability, letting her escape

Players in Dota 2 have found an unusual bug involving Legion Commander’s ultimate, a problem that was reported by users on reddit. The issue lets the hero break out of what should be an inescapable one-on-one fight under certain conditions.

With the arrival of patch 7.41, Legion Commander gained the ability to use abilities while a duel is active. When the hero holds Aghanim’s Scepter, her second skill becomes an area-targeted cast. If that ability is activated toward a distant point on the map while a duel is in progress, the character can prematurely interrupt the duel and move away to complete the cast, effectively escaping the fight.

The global patch 7.41 went live overnight on March 25. In that update, the developer removed aspects from the game entirely, introduced new items, and reworked the innate abilities of many heroes across the roster.

Members of the community have highlighted how this interaction undermines the intended mechanics of duel and are anticipating that the developer will issue a fix or clarification. For now, the exploit remains a notable side effect of the recent balance and systems changes introduced in the patch.
