The creative team behind the anime series Yuru Camp△, also known in English as Laid-Back Camp, have announced that a fourth season is in development. The news confirms that the popular camping-themed franchise will continue following its recent return to screens with a third season earlier this year.
Yuru Camp△ is an animated adaptation of the manga of the same name. The story follows a group of young women who meet and become friends while camping near Mount Fuji. The series focuses on their everyday life at tent campsites, their outdoor routines and the various hiking trips they undertake, blending gentle slice-of-life storytelling with outdoor enthusiasm and practical camping details.
The series has undergone production-studio changes more than once. The original anime was produced by C-Station; by the third season the production moved to studio 8-bit. For the upcoming fourth season, the production will change again — 8-bit will be succeeded by Furyu Pictures as the studio handling the project.
Yuru Camp△ originally premiered in 2018 and has since earned strong audience ratings: it holds a score of 8.1 out of 10 on IMDb and an 8 out of 10 on the Russian site Kinopoisk. The third season of the anime premiered on 6 April 2024, marking the series' latest return before this newly announced continuation.
