Team Spirit carry Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk debuts two koi carp tattoos and comments on recent coaching departure

Ilya Mulyarchuk, better known as Yatoro, the carry player for Team Spirit’s Dota 2 roster, has unveiled a new tattoo on his arm: two koi carp. The esports athlete shared images of the fresh ink on his social media accounts, drawing attention from fans and followers.

The tattoo features a pair of koi carp placed on his forearm. Photographs of the design circulated online shortly after he posted them, confirming the new addition to his body art.

Koi carp hold symbolic meaning in East Asian cultures. In Chinese tradition they are commonly associated with bravery and perseverance, while in Japanese symbolism koi often represent resilience, success, courage and determination.

Yatoro himself has not provided an explanation for selecting the koi motif or detailed any personal significance behind the design.

Earlier, Yatoro spoke publicly about the reasons behind the departure of Team Spirit’s coach Ayrat “Silent” Gaziev. He said the coach had disagreements with teammates Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidyonov and Nikita “Panto” Balaganin, which contributed to Silent leaving the team.
