The development team behind The Sims 4 has disclosed details of a major upcoming expansion titled Royalty & Legacy. The announcement outlines a content update focused on aristocratic life, long-term family stories and the social maneuvering that comes with ruling or belonging to a noble house.
Royalty & Legacy will let players found and manage a royal dynasty, with gameplay centered on courtly intrigue, gossip, raising heirs and earning the trust of both townspeople and fellow nobles. The expansion promises activities and systems tailored to life among the elite, reflecting the responsibilities and rivalries of high-born characters.
The expansion introduces a new primary locale called Ondarion, described by the developers as "a world with a rich history, powerful dynasties and complex relationships, where luxury and culture surround you at every turn." New skill options will include fencing, and social celebrations will expand beyond ordinary holidays to include formal events such as balls.
Royalty & Legacy is scheduled for release on February 12, 2026. Pre-orders are already available through Electronic Arts, with the expansion priced at €39.99 (approximately ₽3,600). The content is presented as a substantial addition to The Sims 4, aiming to deepen role-playing opportunities and long-form legacy storytelling for players who enjoy social strategy and family-focused gameplay.
