Ilya “Maddyson” Davydov sharply criticizes the Fallout TV series and other Bethesda projects, praising only Fallout: New Vegas

Streamer Ilya Davydov, known as Maddyson, harshly criticized the television adaptation of the Fallout universe. In a post on his personal Telegram channel the content creator attacked the series and expressed strong negative opinions about the people producing Fallout-related content more broadly.

Maddyson’s comments were blunt and cutting. He called the show “garbage” and accused those working on Fallout projects of producing consistently poor, derivative work. In his post he argued that both the recent games (with the notable exception of Fallout: New Vegas) and the TV series represent a low point, using vivid language to say that the franchise’s current output is deeply disappointing.

He also singled out Bethesda leadership, suggesting that the studio’s central figures — naming Todd Howard indirectly — have been exposed by the public and that their future efforts will suffer the same fate. Maddyson referenced the controversial reception of Starfield as an example of those failings.

For context, the second season of the Fallout series premiered in late December 2025. Early episodes of the new season received relatively strong viewer scores, averaging around eight out of ten. That is similar to the reception of the show’s first season, which was released in April 2024 and garnered comparable average ratings.
