Remedy Entertainment stops producing new content for cooperative shooter FBC: Firebreak but will keep servers running

Remedy Entertainment has announced it will cease active support for its cooperative shooter FBC: Firebreak. The studio posted the update on the game’s Steam page, confirming that while they will no longer develop new content for the title, they do not intend to abandon it entirely.

On March 17 the developers issued what they described as the final patch for FBC: Firebreak. That update introduced a 'Friend's Pass' feature, which allows players to invite friends to play without requiring the guest to buy a second copy of the game. Remedy clarified that future content releases are no longer planned but emphasized that the game’s servers will remain operational "for many years."

FBC: Firebreak launched in June 2025 and is available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The shooter received mixed reviews at release and failed to meet the studio’s expectations in terms of reception and player numbers. The title’s peak concurrent player count on Steam reached approximately 1.9 thousand users.

Despite underwhelming performance, Remedy continued to support the project with updates until now. With the decision to stop producing new content, the game will remain playable and supported at the server level, though no further expansions or major additions are expected from the developer.
