Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev recalls his stint at Evil Geniuses, Major results and eventual departure

Professional Dota 2 player Roman Kushnarev, known as RAMZES666, recently discussed his memories of playing for the North American organization Evil Geniuses during a livestream. He reflected on that period of his career and addressed perceptions that joining Evil Geniuses was somehow a negative step for him.

Ramzes questioned the idea that his move to Evil Geniuses represented a bad phase. He reminded viewers that, after spending four years as a carry, he consistently finished among the top three at tier‑1 events while playing the offlane. He also mentioned that one of the early events he was set to attend was one of the editions of The International, which was later cancelled.

Speaking warmly about the experience, RAMZES666 described his time with Evil Geniuses as an awesome chapter in his life. He acknowledged that the COVID‑19 pandemic affected competitive schedules and plans, but defended the value of that period for his career.

Kushnarev joined Evil Geniuses in 2019 after leaving Virtus.pro. During his tenure with the club he helped the team reach second place at the DreamLeague Leipzig Major and secure a fourth‑place finish at the MDL Chengdu Major. The parties ended their cooperation in 2021.

Although some summaries list the roster changes that followed The International 2019, the core facts remain: RAMZES666 moved from Virtus.pro to Evil Geniuses in 2019, achieved notable Major results with the team, and parted ways with the organization two years later.
