A new bug in Dota 2 was disclosed that can grant Medusa an exceptionally large amount of hit points. The issue was reported on social media by blogger Dmitry finargot Plyusnin.
Reproducing the bug requires a specific trio of heroes: Medusa, Lifestealer and Shadow Demon. It manifests in the late stage of a match and depends on timing interactions between items and abilities.
The sequence that produces the inflated health is as follows: purchase a Heart of Tarrasque on Medusa; move the Heart into Medusa's backpack and then return it to her main inventory; have Lifestealer use his ultimate on Medusa; allow Lifestealer to exit the host after the Heart of Tarrasque's cooldown has expired. After these actions, Medusa's maximum health becomes several times higher than normal.
According to the report, Medusa's health can be amplified even further by applying Shadow Demon's ability Disseminate to her while the effect is active.
Previously, another bug was reported in Dota 2 that let Morphling obtain additional damage lasting until the end of the game. Both issues highlight unexpected interactions in late-game scenarios that can significantly alter balance.
