Eternal Fire have reduced their active roster after the organization announced that three players have been benched: Ömer 'imoRR' Karataş, Berat 'jresy' Özcan and Baha 'lugseN' Emir Şengül. The moves leave the team with only a handful of active personnel while management reshapes the lineup.
The organization described the changes as part of a period of restructuring following a string of early exits on the lower-tier circuit. To observers, however, the shuffle has increasingly resembled a long-running game of musical chairs, with players repeatedly moved in and out of the active squad.
Both jresy and lugseN have been toggled between the roster and the bench multiple times; in fact, each has been in and out of Eternal Fire three times over the past six months as the organization experimented with Turkish and international roster compositions.
imoRR has once again been shifted to a non-playing role. This is the second time he has been moved off the active squad in recent months: he returned to competitive duties nine months ago after a lengthy spell working as part of the organization's streamer lineup, and has now been benched again.
Sources indicate that Eternal Fire plans to reveal a refreshed team in the coming days as the restructuring completes. Until that announcement, the organization will continue competing with a reduced set of active personnel.
As it stands, Eternal Fire's active core consists of Turkish players Buğra 'Calyx' Arkın and Emrecan 'EMSTAR' Çalışkan, with Kadir 'ElPrincipe' Sivri serving as coach. The three benched players are Berat 'jresy' Özcan, Baha 'lugseN' Emir Şengül and Ömer 'imoRR' Karataş. Management is expected to confirm the full new lineup soon.
