Valve released a hotfix for Dota 2 overnight on March 28 to address the most pressing issues introduced by the large 7.41 patch. The update focuses on nerfs to some of the strongest heroes and tweaks that buff several underperforming characters and systems.

Item changes — Consecrated Wraps: the magic resistance bonus has been reduced from 15% to 12%. The movement speed granted by the Hallowed mechanic when stacking has been lowered from 20% to 15%. The duration of the barrier and the movement speed buff provided by Hallowed has been shortened from 7 seconds to 5 seconds.

Neutral item enchantments — Crude: the bonus to base attack reduction has been weakened, shifting from 8/12/16% down to 6/9/12%.

Alchemist: base movement speed has been reduced from 295 to 290. His Greevil's Greed ability now has a lower maximum kill gold bonus, dropping from 18 to 16. The damage bonus per Scepter has been decreased from +25 to +15.

Ancient Apparition: Bone Chill now applies a larger base strength reduction, increasing the reduction from 0.1 to 0.2 strength.

Anti‑Mage: base movement speed increased from 310 to 315 and base health regeneration raised by 0.5. Mana Break's damage from burned mana has been increased from 50% to 60%.

Bloodseeker: Bloodrage's attack speed bonus has been reduced from 60/90/120/150 to 55/80/105/130. Damage dealt by Aghanim's Shard as a percentage of the target's max health was reduced from 2% to 1.5%.

Centaur Warrunner: Horsepower's movement speed bonus from strength has been increased from 30% to 40%.

Chaos Knight: base damage increased by 3, and his level‑one damage range was adjusted from 53–73 to 56–76.

Chen: Penitence damage has been significantly buffed from 50/75/100/125 to 50/100/150/200. The level‑15 talent that increases Penitence slow was nudged from +14% to +15%.

Clockwerk: Power Cogs now burn more mana, changing from 35/75/115/155 to 40/80/120/160. Talent adjustments: the level‑15 talent increases Battery Assault damage from +24 to +25, and the level‑20 talent raises Power Cogs mana burn from +70 to +80.

Death Prophet: Spirit Siphon mana cost has been lowered from 80 to 60.

Doom: base armor has been reduced by 1. An associated ability's damage-over-time effect (listed as Lvl ? Pain) now deals 10% instead of 15%.

Invoker: base intelligence increased from 20 to 22. His level‑one attack damage was raised from 39–45 to 41–47. The level‑10 talent now increases Tornado's cooldown from 4 seconds to 5 seconds.

Io: Equilibrium's maximum damage and healing growth were reduced from 5 + 0.5% per level to 4 + 0.4% per level. The level‑25 tether talent that previously shared 75% of damage with the tethered ally now shares 50%.

Juggernaut: Blade Fury cooldowns were shortened from 36/30/24/18 to 30/26/22/18. Blade Dance critical damage values were increased from 130/150/170/190% to 140/160/180/200%.

Kez: Raptor Dance base damage increased from 30/60/90 to 40/70/100. Raven's Veil buff duration was lengthened from 7/8/9 seconds to 8/10/12 seconds.

Legion Commander: the Outfight Them! ability no longer grants a passive armor bonus before activation. Talent changes: the level‑20 Duel Duration bonus was reduced from +1.0s to +0.75s, while the level‑25 Moment of Courage lifesteal talent was increased from +75% to +100%.

Leshrac: strength gain lowered from 2.8 to 2.5. Diabolic Edict's damage per explosion was reduced from 10/18/26/34 to 9/16/23/30.

Lifestealer: base damage decreased by 3, with level‑one damage adjusted from 49–55 to 46–52. Ghoul Frenzy's attack speed per level dropped from +5 to +4. Rage's movement speed bonus was reduced from 9/12/15/18% to 6/9/12/15%. Feast's bonus max health per hero kill was reworked to a flat 10 instead of 10/15/20/25.

Meepo: Divided We Stand no longer splits the evasion bonus among clones; each Meepo now receives the full evasion bonus independently. Meepo clones also no longer copy the Bottle item.

Mirana: Celestial Quiver's damage scaling changed from +3 per level to a baseline +5 plus +3 per level. The level‑20 talent now grants +40 damage to Celestial Quiver (up from +35).

Morphling: agility gain increased from 3.9 to 4.2.

Muerta: The Calling cooldown now scales and was reduced to 30/28/26/24 seconds. Pierce the Veil's base damage bonus was adjusted from a flat 75% to 70/85/100% across ranks.

Oracle: Fortune's End mana cost lowered from 100 to 80.

Pangolier: Rolling Thunder's cooldown increased from 90/85/80 to 100/90/80 seconds.

Phantom Lancer: Spirit Lance slow duration reduced from 3.75 to 3 seconds. The level‑10 talent's additional slow was trimmed from +1.25s to +1.0s.

Primal Beast: Colossal now changes the hero's visual size when certain HP thresholds are reached.

Puck: Illusory Orb's impact damage reduced from 75/150/225/300 to 70/140/210/280.

Slark: Shadow Dance movement speed bonus decreased from 24/36/48% to 20/30/40%. Talent reworks: the level‑20 talent that previously granted +1 to Essence Shift agility steal has been replaced with +25 seconds to Essence Shift duration, while the level‑25 talent that granted +35 seconds to duration is now +1 to the agility steal per Essence Shift effect.

Spectre: Spectral Dagger damage was changed from 70/120/170/220 to 80/120/160/200. Talents adjusted: level‑20 HP bonus reduced from +325 to +300, and the level‑25 displayed Dispersion damage talent was lowered from +5% to +4%.

Spirit Breaker: Greater Bash no longer benefits from an increased Aghanim's Scepter effect radius via AoE bonuses; the Scepter bash radius is no longer inflated by those bonuses.

Techies: Proximity Mines damage downgraded from 450/575/750 to 400/550/700. The proportion of damage dealt at the edge of a mine's radius was lowered from 60% to 50%, which changes the edge damage numbers accordingly. Talent change: the level‑10 cooldown reduction for Proximity Mines was reduced from −3 seconds to −2 seconds.

Tidehunter: Leviathan's Catch fish grab range from a dead enemy was cut from 400 to 200.

Timbersaw: Exposure Therapy mana regeneration increased from 3.75 + 0.25 per level to 4 + 0.5 per level. Chakram mana costs were reduced from 100/140/180 to 90/120/150 and the per‑second mana drain was lowered from 14/22/30 to 10/15/20.

Tinker: Deploy Turrets now knock back targets slightly farther, increasing the push from 350 to 400.

Tiny: Tree Grab number of attacks increased from 4/5/6/7 to 5/6/7/8. Grow's bonus damage rose from 55/110/165 to 60/120/180, and its movement speed bonus was increased from 10/15/20 to 10/20/30.

Void Spirit: base mana regeneration has been reduced by 0.6.

Windranger: base intelligence was raised from 17 to 20 and her level‑one damage increased from 47–59 to 49–61. Tailwind duration was extended from 2 to 2.5 seconds (Aghanim's Scepter still adds +1s, making it 3.5s with Scepter). Focus Fire cooldowns were shortened from 70/50/30 to 50/40/30.

Wraith King: base attack time was adjusted from 1.7 to 1.8 seconds and his intelligence gain reduced from 1.6 to 1.4. Bone Guard skeletons now last 40 seconds instead of 46. Mortal Strike's cooldown was standardized to 5 seconds (previously 6/5.5/5/4.5). Talent changes: the level‑15 HP bonus was reduced from +350 to +300, and the level‑15 talent that extended Wraithfire Blast stun duration now grants +0.75s instead of +1.0s.
